5 places I want to visit before I'm 25..

Travelling is something I want to do in life, see different places, meet different people and have new experiences. I have such a long bucket list of places I want to visit, so I thought a nice little post would be to share with you the five top places I want to visit before I'm 25. Let me know in the comments below where your dream destination is and lets all get excited about travel together!

1. Vietnam

Vietnam is probably at the top of my list of places I want to visit as of now, and there is so many places in Vietnam I want to go to. When I do go I will definitely be travelling around, as I don't think I could stay in just one place. Halong Bay is definitely at the top of my visiting list, it's in the North East of Vietnam and it looks simply stunning. Emerald waters and so many little islands to explore, its an idea of paradise, my dream is to do scuba diving around the little islands and be among the beauty and wildlife. Another place I want to visit is the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi, of course this is a no brainer as you can really experience the culture and diversity of Vietnam. I definitely want to try as much food as possible, as let's be real, food is always on the brain! Haha. I'm excited too see all the old architecture, temples, markets. Ho Chi Minh City is another, it is located in the south of Vietnam, and looks so much more modern and urban. In this city they have their own Notre Dame, made entirely from French material, as Vietnam has a big French influence. The food is said to be incredible, and they have food markets lining the city streets. There are definitely so many cities, landmarks and places I want to visit in Vietnam, but I'd be here all day, but they are my top 3 destinations when I do travel there. If you have any other recommendations I may not know about please let me know, as I want to make the most of my trip there when I eventually go!

2. Italy

Now this one is a little more closer to home, Italy is somewhere I have never been and would love to go too. And the city I would definitely stay in is Rome, however like Vietnam, I wouldn't rule out travelling around to a few different places. But as of now, I only have Rome in my mind. I am so interested in the history, art, architecture of the city and I just want to basque in it's beauty! Oh and let's not hide the fact that I want to fill my face with Italian food! Italian is by far my favourite cuisine, and the thought of living off proper Italian pasta dishes, pizza, is just making me so happy. I smiled when I was typing that sentence, haha! I definitely want to go see all the landmarks, such as the colosseum, the Trevi fountain, just simply as much as I can fit in. However another place in Italy I would love to visit is Pisa, simply to go see the leaning tower of Pisa, haha.

3. Japan

Whenever I say to my friends or family that I would love to visit Japan, they look at me so weirdly, but I think why wouldn't you want to? It is one of the most advanced countries in the world, and looks incredible, as I feel you can experience urban and rural Japan. So of course Tokyo, the capital is somewhere I would definitely travel too, the architecture is incredible, its all so high tech and the lifestyle is so different. And even though in Tokyo is covered in skyscrapers and buildings, you can also get a feel for nature, in beautiful botanical gardens and parks. A place called Roppongi is somewhere that interests me, as its the biggest nightclub scene in Japan. And I do love a good night out and would love to know what its like to have a Japanese night out, because of all their advanced technology I could imagine it being totally insane! But a good insane. Mount Fuji is definitely a landmark I need to see when I visit Japan, it is 100km away from Tokyo but it's simply beautiful and you have to do it while your there.

4. Iceland

Iceland is definitely in this top 5, and i've been wanting to visit it for so long, I think it made it more real as so many people I knew have been in the past couple of years, and looking at their holiday pics it looks amazing! The one and only thing I want to do is visit the Blue Lagoon in Grindavik, it's come up so many times on my Facebook under those travel goals pages, and like I said so many of my friends have been over the years. Of course I would love to see much more of Iceland but when I go that is the one thing I have to do before coming home. I'd also love to visit the Geysirs which are in the South West of Iceland, they blow my mind, as that's all just nature, I love it, and it is one of Iceland's most famous landmarks too. Reykjavik is the capital and it looks so cute, it looks more rural than most of the cities I have previously spoken about, but there's so much history there especially surrounding the Vikings and the city is surrounded by nature. I'd also love to do one of the famous glacier walks, they look incredible and it gives you the chance to see so much more of Iceland's beauty. Definitely a must see place.

5. Switzerland

Switzerland is definitely a new addition to my travel bucket list, I actually watched vlogs from The Perkins Youtube channel when they visited and I fell in love. They travelled round various parts of Switzerland and it's something I now definitely want to do. I will link their video in this post along with their channel so you too can fall in love with Switzerland like I have and just travelling its self. I definitely want to visit a place called Zermatt which is such a beautiful place surrounded by beauty and nature. Lucerne is another I definitely want to visit, again I've found when researching and looking at footage of Switzerland its all so bright, colourful, natural and simply perfect. There is a thing called the Switzerland mountain coaster, and it looks so much fun, and an activity I definitely want to do when I am there. But I still have a lot of research to do on Switzerland before I book that flight, but so far it is definitely up there with my top 5.

To be quite honest even if I got to one of these places I would be so happy, but there's no harm in a dream and I may get to all 5 before I am 25! Let me know where your dream destination is that you want to visit and I hope you enjoyed reading this post, or that it inspired you to potentially travel more and to new places.
